We run weekly classes for puppies and adult dogs and also One to One training sessions by arrangement. The emphasis is very much on training through PLAY.
Classes take place outdoors in the lovely surroundings of the Cow Roast at Berkhamsted Hockey Club, Lockhart Field, Berkhamsted HP23 5RF.

Puppy classes/socialisation
Once your puppy is vaccinated and it is ready to venture out into the big wide world, socialisation with other puppies and owners is an important first step.
In our beginners’ puppy classes we combine play with short spells of early training. This is an ideal way for puppies and owners to progress at their own pace.
When puppies are ready they move up into a slightly more advanced ‘step up’ class. In this class their training progresses as they mature and can concentrate for slightly longer spells.

Adult and beginners dog training classes
Many owners wish to continue their dog’s training beyond puppy classes. This is not because they wish to compete in obedience competitions but because they (and their dog) enjoy the experience and the benefits it can bring. Again the emphasis is very much on having fun with your dog.
Some owners return after initial training for a refresher or to learn more at a later date.

One to one consultation
We also offer one to one consultations by arrangement either at our training location or at the owner’s home, if preferred.
It may be that the owner is having difficulties with a certain aspect of their dog’s training or the dog may have behavioural problems.
By watching how the dog behaves and the owner reacts we can offer practical guidance and advice to help to correct the problem.
Following one to ones some owners join our classes to put the learning into practice.
